Meet Mary Meyer, LCSW

Welcome! I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in the treatment of anxiety and depression in adults, children and families. My approach is empathetic and focused on building connection in order to create meaningful change. I work from a strengths-based, non-judgmental and trauma informed perspective. My academic training is in Cognitive Behavior Therapy and in addition to practicing CBT, I utilize Exposure and Response Prevention techniques, solution focused therapy, Acceptance and Commitment therapy, elements of play therapy and psychoeducation. I hold a BS from Miami University and a Master’s in Social Work from Columbia University. I also completed a post-graduate interdisciplinary Palliative Care fellowship through the James J. Peters VA Medical Center. In addition to my passion for helping families struggling with anxiety, I also have in-depth experience and training working with adults, children and families dealing with illness, death, grief and loss.

I live on Long Island with my husband and three daughters. As a clinician who has lived through my own children’s anxiety and behavioral challenges, my experience is both studied and lived. I look forward to connecting and supporting you on your journey.
